OUR PORTFOLIO

Real Novara Landscape Builds Across Marin and Sonoma

Every Novara project starts with a 3D design and ends with a finished property that matches it. The work below represents the range of what we deliver, from estate-scale builds to focused residential transformations.

Each project on this page was designed by Steven, built by Esteban and our crew, and completed under our two-year workmanship warranty. No subcontractors. No guesswork. Just proof of what consistent process produces over twenty-eight years.

A multi-acre property in one of the most architecturally demanding cities in Marin County. The build covered every category of work Novara performs including precision grading, custom hardscape across multiple terraces, full softscape design, complete irrigation and lighting, and engineered stone retaining walls.

PROJECT 02

La Rosa

Full Outdoor Build with Softscape Focus

Marin County, CA
La Rosa by Novara Landscape and Construction

A complete softscape transformation across an entire property. Native and ornamental plantings, integrated lawn areas, and refined garden design carried through every section. Drainage and irrigation were planned in 3D before any plant went in the ground. The result is a property that thrives without constant maintenance.

PROJECT 03

Harvard Court

Residential Transformation in Marin

Mill Valley, CA
Harvard Court by Novara Landscape and Construction
Harvard Court photo 1 Harvard Court photo 2 Harvard Court photo 3 Harvard Court photo 4

A Mill Valley residential build covering the full property. Hardscape, grading, drainage, planting, and lighting were all coordinated through a single 3D design and built in one continuous phase. The clay soil and sloped lot common to Marin properties required specific drainage engineering before any surface work began.

On every project

These projects look the way they do because of how they were built, not how they were photographed. Every project starts with a 3D design that locks scope, materials, and finishes before construction begins. Every project is built by our own crew with no subcontractors handed your property off to. Every project gets the same base prep, the same drainage engineering, and the same craftsmanship whether the job is a focused backyard or a multi-acre Belvedere estate.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Novara Landscape Project FAQ

How many projects has Novara completed across Marin and Sonoma?

We have completed over four hundred projects across Marin County and Sonoma County since 1998. The portfolio above represents three featured projects from a much larger body of work. Learn more about Novara here.

Can I visit a finished Novara project before hiring you?

Some past clients are open to brief property visits with serious prospective clients. We coordinate this on a case-by-case basis and only with the homeowner's permission. Most clients prefer the 3D design preview as their primary way of evaluating the work since it shows exactly what your specific property will look like before construction begins.

How long did the Belvedere Estate project take?

Belvedere Estate was a multi-month project covering grading, hardscape, softscape, irrigation, lighting, and finishing across the property. Project timelines depend on scope, weather, permitting, and material availability. We give every client a detailed schedule before construction begins and stick to it barring factors we cannot control.

Do you only work on large estate projects?

No. About half our work is residential builds across Marin and Sonoma County. The Belvedere Estate project shows the scale we can handle on the high end, but a focused backyard refresh gets the same crew, the same 3D design process, and the same standards. See all our services here.

What kinds of properties do you most often work on?

Our Marin and Sonoma projects tend to involve sloped lots, mature trees, clay soil, and architecturally specific homes. We work on hillside builds, terraced properties, full backyard transformations, hardscape installations, and complete outdoor builds. The 3D design phase is especially valuable on these sites because it lets us show exactly how the work will integrate with the existing terrain.

Can my project be featured in your portfolio?

Yes, with your permission. We photograph completed projects when possible and ask clients before featuring their work. Some clients prefer privacy and we always honor that. Your decision either way has no impact on the project itself, the warranty, or the work we deliver.

How do you decide what to photograph after a project?

We photograph projects after the landscape has had time to establish, typically a few weeks to a few months after final installation depending on the season. Photos are taken with permission and we coordinate timing with the homeowner so the work is shown at its best.
